Regular Polyhedrons
The advanced polyhedron consists of optional:
  • Top Pyramid of n sides
  • Middle Prism or Anti-prism of n sides
  • Bottom Pyramid (upside down) of n sides
Note that n will be the same for each layer. After specifying the height of each item and the radius (size) of the prism, then the entire Polyhedron can be built. As constructed here, the prism base will have a circumscribed circle of radius 1.

Height of top pyramid. Enter 0 to skip top pyramid. Try 1.0
Height of center prism. Enter 0 to skip prism. Try 1.0
Height of bottom pyramid. Enter 0 to skip bottom pyramid. Try 1.0
Choose an operation to modify your polyhedron below. The Params tab above lets you change the style and features of your polyhedron. The png/gifs tab lets you create/download different size and color pngs and gifs of your polyhedron. The Data tab will show you measurements for the sides and angles of your polyhedron.
Operations Help
  • Truncate: At each vertex, chop off a piece of the polyhedron
  • Dual: Make a new polyhedron, where the centers of each face becomes a polygonal face in the new polyhedron
  • Clear: Erase the current polyhedron and start over
